Brand Identity

C. Baldwin Hotel of Houston, TX, is named for Charlotte Baldwin Allen — the badass broad who bankrolled and built the whole damn city, but was barred from signing the deed because of her gender.

I teamed up with Sockeye to elevate Charlotte’s voice and story in the hotel’s brand identity—from a gutsy brand manifesto right down to the devil-may-care collateral copy that greets guests on their keycards.

Her name may not be on the deed,
but now it’s on the door.
